Sometimes the most interesting work is driven by a challenge. In this case, the desire was to reduce waste. The core of this piece is comprised of scraps and the effect is a compelling mix of textures and colors. Scraps were layers together and wrapped with a fine cotton string to form a rope. The shape was then folded into place and secured with a blend of hand stitching and hot glue.
